Examples of Extreme Close Ups

Another shot we used in our sequence is an extreme close up. These are usually used to reveal something important in the sequence. They are almost used as a warning, alerting the audience to focus and remember that thing they have just be shown. In our opening sequence, the extreme close up is followed by a POV Shot. Our extreme close up on our actresses eye, was then used to alert the audience that the next shot being used was through the eyes of 'this girl' that the audience right now know nothing about.
